Who We Work With
In order to carry out its mission, representatives from the Patrick Shifflett Foundation work with local third party education and counseling organizations to evaluate need based grant applications, and to identify resources within the local communities to provide required services. Community grant recipients must have a financial need or other significant family circumstance that would otherwise restrict their ability to receive the specified service.
Who Is Awarded
In addition to community grants, scholarship grants are awarded each year to one or more students graduating from Clarksburg High School and Damascus High School in Montgomery County, Maryland. The award funds are required to be used for either higher education tuition payments, or directly related education expenses. Applicants will be evaluated based on the character qualities they exemplify.
Diversity and Inclusion
The Patrick Shifflett Foundation is committed to acting in good faith, supporting deserving individuals and programs in the community without consideration of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, and/or religious affiliation. Our goal will be that recipients of awards and scholarships mirror the community in which we serve.
