2022 Holiday Giving

Christmas Giving

On December 21 the Shifflett family gave Christmas blessings to 20 families in the local community who were in need of gifts for their children and dinner on their tables. Families were given a Christmas meal, presents for their children, and groceries for the holiday break. Special thanks to Porter & Shannon Shifflett and their daughters for their dedication to shopping, organizing and wrapping the gifts.

Food Drive

For the 4th year in a row, we collected canned foods at the Damascus Safeway in early November, allowing us to fill many bins in our holiday giving programs. A special thank you to Ed Tippett for making this possible.

Thanksgiving Meals

On November 21, 2023, we continued our Thanksgiving Giving Program. We adopted 20 local families that were given an amazing Thanksgiving meal along with all the fixings and a bin full of staples to fill the families’ pantries for the long holiday weekend.

The EVAN Foundation

We again partnered with the 18U Crush/CHS Softball Team for a toy drive benefiting kids undergoing
cancer treatments at 3 local Children’s National Hospital Oncology Unit locations. The Evan Foundation fills multiple “treats and treasures” carts and wheels them out weekly to cancer patients. We look forward to replenishing the carts 3 times a year or as needed. Special thank you to Joana and Bella Bragg for volunteering to shop for the the toys and treats.
