Clarksburg Baseball and The Patrick Shifflett Foundation have teamed up to host a Baseball Tournament in support of The Patrick Shifflett Foundation:
Announcement: Registration through League Lineup
About the Tournament
Like many boys and girls in Montgomery County, Patrick Shifflett started playing T-baseball at 5 years old. He progressed to play travel baseball with Clarksburg Coyotes until he was 14 years old, going to Cooperstown Dreams Park in 2010. He transitioned from playing baseball to playing just football after arm surgery his freshman year of high school. He earned his place on the Clarksburg High School varsity football team his sophomore year. His personality and leadership skills lead to him being named the Head Team Captain his junior year (earning the most votes by his teammates in the school’s history). While football was something he worked at daily, his driving passion was to “just help people”. Patrick was a strong, kind, protective, faithful, loyal, loving, polite, leader with a huge heart, whose motto was to “always stay humble”. In an effort to honor Patrick’s memory and live out his vision, Clarksburg Baseball Inc will host the Patrick Shifflett Memorial Baseball Tournament this spring, with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Patrick Shifflett Foundation (501-3c). The Foundation’s mission is to provide scholarships to seniors in the county who exemplify the values Patrick was known for. Additionally, the Foundation will fund worthwhile programs in the county that aim to support youth in need.
Thank you for your participation in this important tournament!
