Whitney D’Attilio (Junior at Clarksburg High School and family friend) ran for Student of the Year through the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to honor Patrick’s memory of helping people. Her team, Coyotes For a Cure, raised over $76,000 in 7 weeks, was awarded the designation of Top Campaign Fundraiser – earning a blood cancer research grant in their team’s name – and was the recipient of the Community Citizenship Award. As everyone knows, Patrick was a hard-working leader. This LLS Campaign challenged both of these skills within Whitney; forcing her to balance school, swim team, work, guitar, and her fundraising efforts. She could not have won the Community Award without the support of The Foundation and its donation of $2,000!
