The Children’s Inn

In 2018, the Patrick Shifflett Foundation partnered with The Children’s Inn to raise funds for this extremely worthwhile organization. The Inn is a residential facility that allows families with seriously ill children to stay free of charge while participating in research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). On April 28th, the Patrick Shifflett Foundation sponsored a table and several members of the board attended the Inn’s annual gala. The night was a tremendous success, raising over $1 million dollars to support current and future operations at the Inn.

The opportunity to support the Inn was a natural fit with the mission of the Patrick Shifflett Foundation. Like the foundation, their aim is to ease the burdens of those in less fortunate situations – in this case, providing a “place like home” for families facing the stresses of their child’s health. The foundation hopes to continue developing our relationship with the Inn, with future support to potentially include volunteer efforts that directly supports guests at the Inn.
