Toys For Tots

Patrick loved helping his family decorate the Christmas tree every year. His height and strength made him very handy at tackling the job. But as the Shifflett family found themselves approaching their first Christmas with Patrick gone, they struggled to celebrate the season without their son and brother. In December 2016, the Shifflett family, in the spirit of the season, chose to donate to Toys for Tots on behalf of the Patrick Shifflett Foundation. At an event coordinated by Clarksburg Baseball Inc., Walter, Lily, Jamie, Steven and Nick Shifflett presented the check to a representative from the Marine Corps Reserve. Due to the large donation, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve recognized the Foundation with a Commander’s Award for outstanding achievement in support of the 2016 Toys for Tots Program. Toys for Tots helps to fulfill the Christmas dreams of our nation’s neediest children. That goal is at the heart of The Patrick Shifflett Foundation and the Shifflett family will continue to work to help as many people as they can in Patrick’s name.
