THE PATRICK SHIFFLETT FOUNDATION

Patrick was not only known for his football abilities but for his love of baseball. Patrick played organized baseball for a number of years and enjoyed watching his brothers play as well. The Foundation wanted to remember Patrick’s love of game of baseball and thus created this annual event. To honor Patrick’s memory, each coach is asked to present the Patrick Shifflett Character Coin to the player that best represents the character, courage, determination, and sportsmanship that Patrick showed both on and off the field. It is the Foundation’s hope that Patrick’s personal character motto “Always Stay Humble” will make an impression on the life of every player.
